How to make a concrete fence around the house

A concrete fence around the site will be a good protection of the territory, since this type of fence is one of the most durable. With certain skills, you can build it yourself, while making it an architectural decoration of the estate.

The concrete fence is in perfect harmony with a stone or brick house. You can paint the fence in any color. The fence is made of natural material and is assembled from finished panels. But they are really possible to do yourself using various forms.

Types of Concrete Fences

Concrete fences are monolithic, typesetting and decorative. Each species has its pros and cons.

A monolithic fence requires a solid foundation, it looks pretty rough, but it can be trimmed with decorative tiles.

Stacked fence consists of several plates of different textures. They have a decorative side, and the upper rows may differ from the lower ones.

Decorative concrete fences imitate materials such as brick, wood, marble, natural stone or forging.

Necessary materials

To build concrete slabs for a fence with a custom design, you need to take:

  • cement M500;
  • coarse sand;
  • fine gravel;
  • water
  • putty knife;
  • level;
  • molds for filling;
  • steel reinforcement.

The components are mixed in predetermined proportions. Typically, the ratio of cement, crushed stone and sand for concrete blocks is 1: 1: 3. You also need to add a little plasticizer, which will allow you to make blocks of the desired shape. Water is added until the solution becomes viscous as thick sour cream.

Molds for pouring concrete, which are rubber, fiberglass or polypropylene, can be bought in stores. The blocks will be better when using a vibrating table and concrete mixer.

Fencing Technology

The plate production process is as follows:

  1. Crushed stone, sand and cement are loaded into the concrete mixer in this order.
  2. The mold is filled with oil and placed on a flat surface.
  3. For good strength, reinforcing bars are laid in the mold.
  4. The prepared solution is poured into the mold to the edges and leveled with a spatula.
  5. After drying, the block is removed and left to dry under a canopy until fully prepared.
  6. When enough forms of blocks are typed, they are installed on a previously prepared foundation, connecting with each other by pillars.

The finished fence needs to be finished to achieve a beautiful appearance. Concrete can be painted from a spray gun, plastered, finished with brick or clinker tiles, overlaid with decorative or natural stone.

It’s easiest and cheaper, of course, just to paint the fence in an interesting color. But first, the blocks need to be sanded and primed. Good paint on such a fence will last up to eight years. Shades that are close to natural look successful: green, brown, beige, gray or sky blue. Paint should be taken with a low coefficient of vapor permeability.
